Level 1:  Your Introductory Checklist

There are several accounts and items that need to be completed before you’ll be able to tutor with students.  Please complete each of these before you move onto the next level.

 1. How Being a Contractor Works

Welcome to the team!  You’ve been hired as a contractor first.  In this video, I’ll explain how that works and when you become an official employee.

 

2.  How Payroll Works

Gusto is used to track time and do payroll. These will make it easy to track your hours and for me to pay you. Make sure you are using our coding system for tracking your time.

Time sheets are due on the last day of every month.

 

3.  Your Email Account

In this video, I will discuss your email accounts. How to properly use them and what to include in your emails to your tutoring families. I will also discuss what information to share with me about those tutoring sessions.

 

4. Google Calendar for Scheduling

 

5.  Zoom.us

 

Please create an account at Zoom.us and your link to the team spreadsheet.

 

6.  Voxer

In this video I discuss Voxer. You will set up a Voxer account for you to  be able to commuicate with me and our tutoring team. It is an app that makes communication very easy between all of us.

 

7.  Bitpaper.io

This video explains what Bitpaper is. You will make a Bitpaper account which will allow you to use a virtual whiteboard to write on that your students can see. I will also show you how to label your white boards and how to keep them organized from one student to another.

 

8.  Getting a Team Pic

In this video I discuss how to take an easy and professional picture for our website. Please don’t skip this.  You will not be permitted to have a student until you send us your picture.
